Reheat the hell of times our Love was not,
And sighs did burn to breathe a loveless life.
Thought I before in love, which hurt a lot;
Was claimed as “everything,” but in the strife
Of temptation was treated as nothing,
Doing pranks of selfish love behind
My back; in darkness vis’ble everything
My head saw: all and more and more rewind.
So moving was it all my heart was fooled,
And in the heat of my undoing did
False Love inferno my fresh miseries pooled,
As I seared flames of Past and Fortune’s bid.
I died—for good I thought. Then came Love True,
Came you, and now to heaven I wake with you.
